We are seeking a responsible, organised and flexible individual to join our team as a Truck Driver at our Gatton operations on a Fulltime basis.

Oz Pebbles is part of the Sunstate Sands Group of Companies with our Gatton operation being the leading supplier of decorative and specialty pebbles as well as exposed aggregates to numerous businesses throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Duties

Reporting to the Site Supervisor this role includes;

• Operate truck and dog as required – (HC) License Essential
• Some overnight trips to NSW
• Carry out minor maintenance on mobile plant as required such as greasing etc

To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• You take a professional approach to your work and take pride in your truck’s presentation.
• Be willing to do some overnight trips to NSW
• An excellent driving record.
• Recent experience in reversing truck and dogs into restricted areas such as concrete plants/landscape yards.
• Strong Safety, Environmental and Quality focus.
• Holds workers health and safety in a high regard.
• Attention to detail.
  Be fit for required duties.
• Unrestricted Driver’s license and own reliable transport to and from the workplace is required.
• (HC) Licence Essential – Heavy Combination (HC) Licence.
• Be reliable & self-motivated with a mature, professional, courteous manner.
• Have demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and/or autonomously.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties as a Logistics & Weighbridge Coordinator will include but not be limited to:

• • Coordination of all incoming transport activities for the site

• • Receiving orders from customers

• • Weighing, dispatching & ticketing of trucks

• • Coordination of carriers and establishing requirements for day‐to‐day finished goods deliveries.

• • Liaison with operations and customers in relation to product requirements

• • Sourcing quotes and freight options for various projects

• • General customer enquiries

• • General office administration & data entry

• • Accounts Payable – Ordering supplies and processing invoices

• • Accounts Receivable – including overdue and credit limit checking

• • Working with Brisbane Head Office to ensure all administrative requirements are completed within agreed time frames.

The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills and attributes:

• • Prior logistics experience including knowledge of truck multi combinations and the right vehicle for the job

• • Knowledge of transport Chain of Responsibility

• • Ability to multi-skill

• • Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn

• • Good work ethic

• • Positive attitude

• • Good communications skills

• • Prior weighbridge software experience also highly regarded

• • Computer proficient (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Essential)
